π₯ After tackling difficult challenges in my career, I’ve discovered that true creative problem-solving extends beyond the surface of the business challenge. It involves understanding and addressing the human factors. We often can’t do what’s right because of our own psychological barriers and limitations.. π§ πΌ
β¨ In other words, a lot of my work involves not only finding the right answer, but also making sure the team embraces and executes it effectively.πͺ
How Do You Do This?
π±Taking into account the company culture, individual motivations, and comfort levels is crucial. In a company, change is hard, and you can’t expect transformation unless the people working on it buy in. It’s critical to find a balance between a creative idea and its suitability for the people involved.π
π₯ While the solution needs to inspire, motivate and excite the team to move forward, it shouldn’t overwhelm or intimidate them to the point where they’re paralyzed. Unfortunately, many people underestimate this importance. Before diving into execution, we need to find the right approach to problem-solving, just like we do when dieting or exercising. π―
π I’m writing to share my perspective on creative problem-solving based on my experiences. What’s your opinion on this? Should creative problem-solving prioritize the problem itself over the people who will execute it? Let’s talk about it. π€β¨
